As from 15 April 2018 new regulations for registration, transfer and handling of disputes of .GE domain names will apply.
Change regarding local presence:
Until now in order to register a .GE domain it was required to have a local physical presence in Georgia. Since this requirement will now be removed, any registrant outside Georgia becomes eligible to register a domain name without the need for an expensive local presence proxy.
Change regarding transfer of domains:
It becomes possible now to transfer domains from one registrant to another without the painful need to having to delete and re-register the domain.
Change regarding the handling of domain disputes:
Last, but not least, it will be possible to file.GE related domain disputes under UDRP as well as in local Courts.
