September 12, 2016
The sunrise period for .AT short domain names which started on 29 August will last until 23 September. All one and two-character combinations of numbers and alphabetic characters (including the 34 IDN characters) will be released in several phases. Excluded are those domains which are already in use for third-level domains or name servers (ac.at, or.at, co.at, gv.at and ns.at).
During this period, trademark owners or their authorized agent (registrar, lawyer) can file their application for a domain. The cut-off date for the trademark is before July 1, 2015 and the mark has to be valid for Austria. The domain application during the Sunrise period has to be filed there.
Please note that the "First come first served" principle does not apply during sunrise phase.
Conditions for participation in the Sunrise phase are to be found there.
If there is only one valid application for a domain, the domain will be granted to the applicant for a fixed price. If there is more than one valid application, the domain goes to a closed auction among the authorized applicants from October 10 to October 21 2016.
All domains which are not allocated during the sunrise phase will go to a public online auction where everyone can participate. The domain will go to the highest bidder. The public online auction will be handled by Sedo.
General availability will start on 6 December 2016.
