The first of the 3 .MOI Limited Registration Periods (LRP1) for French-speaking countries in Africa, is now over. It continues however under the LRP2 for French speaking European countries.
The French speaking countries of Europe are Belgium, France, Luxembourg, Monaco and Switzerland, and LRP 2 will also cover the African French speaking countries (Algeria, Benin, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, Comoros, Ivory Coast, Djibouti, Gabon, Guinea, Equatorial Guinea, Mauritius, Madagascar, Mali, Morocco, Niger, Central African Republic, Democratic Republic of Congo, Republic of Congo, Rwanda, Senegal, Seychelles, Togo and Chad).
Now, a .MOI domain is not only useful for French speaking and francophile individuals. .MOI also serves the needs of corporations, for the following reasons:
a) Cost Effective Brand Protection: Companies can protect their brand names from abuse by third parties and further promote their brand. The cost of securing their domain name is considerably less than an enforcement action.
b) Stand Out: .MOI is a different approach for businesses that want to explore creative ways to generate more awareness of their firms, companies and interests within the French speaking communities
c) Personalize: .MOI is a great space to highlight to your customers the DNA of your brand. What does your brand represent? How can customers engage? Are there special insights for those who follow the brand? .MOI could be a playful more personal experience into the brand for your customers.
Africa and Europe.MOI until 30 September. We remain available to assist you with any further question on .MOI, and to register .MOI domain names.
