Nominet, the United Kingdom's Domain Names Registry, has published the details concerning the modification of the .UK Dispute Resolution Service which becomes effective October 1st.
The changes concern mainly the process and aim to simplify the procedure and make it faster. An interesting novelty relates to a trick used by cyber squatters, the anonymisation service. Nominet, in the case of a domain using an anonymizer or proxy service, will now reserve the right to disclose the data of the real owner.
At the end of the day, it seems that the new procedure, starting on 1st October, will better protect trademarks. Thank you, Nominet!
