China reinforces rules on app stores

July 1, 2016

The Chinese regime adds yet again another layer of control over the Internet.

Amongst the new rules, the app stores will have to keep an history of the activity of their users, and to be able to identify their users, as well as monitor and report any litigious content.

However, nothing seems to concern the respect of IP rights. App stores contain many authorized uses of trademarks, as the app editors are tempted to use third-party trademarks to increase the number of downloads.

Therefore, it is crucial to monitor these stores on a regular basis. IP Twins can help you protect your IP rights on mobile app stores. Please do not hesitate to contact us for any additional information.
