The Brazilian President, Dilma Roussef, has inaugurated the NetMundial summit in Sao Paulo, Brazil, on the Internet Governance.
More than 90 delegations from all over the world are taking part on the 23rd and 24th of April on key discussion for the future governance of Internet: freedom of expression, protection of privacy, neutrality of Internet, etc. After the NSA scandal, the key issue is of course the end of the USA control over Internet.
Before the start of the meeting, hundreds of opinions and comments from different countries, NGO and other bodies have already been collected for the preparation of this event.
An official declaration is expected at the end of the 2 days summit. More to follow.
