The social network has just announced the launch of a new platform entirely dedicated to the sale and purchase of goods between its members, in order to compete with the leaders in the same field, such as eBay or Amazon.
According to the first reports, the platform is already filled with numerous advertisements for illegal or counterfeit products. As Facebook aims at becoming the largest marketplace between individuals, it is even more necessary for companies to monitor marketplaces and take the necessary action to avoid any attempted infringement of their trademark rights.
As of now, the platform is available to users from the United States, Australia, United Kingdom and New Zealand and will eventually be opened worldwide.
Your IP TWINS teams will work on integrating this platform into the marketplace monitoring tool as soon as the platform has been made generally available. Please do not hesitate to contact us for any information.
